If you want to advance your career into management, planning or coordinating then you will be interested in taking the Microsoft Project course. This will allow you to enter into the challenging world of high profile projects, scheduling of projects, and making sure the project is financially fit. The thrill of being part of this venue at your company can open up travelling opportunities and more responsibilities.

Course Description:

There are many parts to this course, beginning with the basics of project management. The student will have a chance to create a project, enter and organise the tasks relating to the project and add other pertinent information about the project. There is a section on resources for the project as well as how to use the various tracking and reporting formats. Some templates are part of the Microsoft Project software and the student will learn the customising techniques available. The final chapter will show the user how to finish the project data with the actual facts and figures.

Course Duration:

This package course can be purchased online with a full one year access after purchase. The initial course is thirteen hours of instruction. The student can certainly learn at their own speed however, so this is just a guideline. If you take this course from a college or university they may have it as part of a group of Microsoft applications. The timeline for the course would then be determined by how many other courses they included with Microsoft Project.
