When studying Russian you will want to start with a basic course. A first level course is designed to introduce the student to familiar objects and phrases. Topics include greetings, introductions, food, beverages, directions, time, days, months, etc. At the end of a basic study course the student, you, will be able to speak, write, and read Russian.

A second level Russian course builds on the information learned in the first course. It will also expand your knowledge to help you better understand individuals as they speak Russian. You will solidify your conversation abilities. A third level course is more advanced. Business topics, current events, and more in depth language skills will be accrued. By the end of a third level course you should expect to speak Russian without any issues.

Course Duration:

Russian language courses through a university are 10 weeks in length, whether they are online or at a land based building. Home study courses using software and audio CD's are set up for your convenience. You choose the time to study and how long it will take you.
