Course Description:
Vocabulary is an essential aspect of learning French. You will need to know what the words mean as well as how to structure them in a sentence. Through a French studies course you will gain the necessary knowledge you need to speak, write, and read French like a native speaker. Phrases such as where is the bathroom, how much is this, directions, hotel phrases, greetings, introductions, and more will be learned.
You will need to start with a basic French course. In this first level course you will learn important phrases and vocabulary for travelling. As you gain education in other levels you will become fluent. Information such as the days of the week, months, time, and ordering food and beverages will be examined. You will also learn to hold a conversation around other topics like business, your own country, places of interest, and family.
Course Duration:
A university level French course will take 10 weeks for each level. If you opt for the home study courses with CD- Rom's and Audio CD's you can explore the language at your own pace. It is recommended that in any course you should spend an hour a day studying.
