VMWare

VMware is a software company creating virtualisations. VM stands for virtual machine in case you are unfamiliar with the concepts from VMware. The software works in a majority of the computer machines such as Windows, Linux, and Mac. The software is ESX server, workstation, fusion, player, server, ThinApp, view, and lifecycle manager. It is possible to take a course in any one of these software applications. You will need to choose which programme or programmes are needed for advancement in your career. Some of the training courses provide a certification, but not all of them will.

Course Description:

In order to present you an idea of the type of courses you can expect we will look first at the ESX Server course. In this course an introduction to the software is given before installation procedures, licensing, resource tools, creating a virtual machine, and options for the operating system are discussed. Booting from a client CD- ROM, configuration, copying files, and booting from ISO image are also examined. Each of the VMware courses will follow a similar lesson plan. Some courses may be shorter depending on what the software application was designed for. For example Snapshots has three topics to discuss over the ten to 20 of other courses. The goal of the course is to provide you with knowledge of the software to use it in a business setting.

Course Duration:

Training courses are set up for hands-on experience and typically require 1 to 2 days, depending on the software being discussed. Home learning courses do exist and are set for your time parameters.
