Microsoft Excel

Once you have all the basics of using your personal computer such as the mouse, navigating the windows system, and using the internet, you will want to learn the Microsoft Excel programme. In this system you will gain the skills that will allow you to create, format, edit and print information. There are several additions of the Microsoft Excel programme, so you will need to find out which one is compatible with your computer before you purchase any software.

Course Description:

The first lessons will include the making of a very basic worksheet, which will consist of entering the data and saving it along with customising your toolbar. Then you will go on to learn how to do calculations using formulas. The next step is how you can move data around through modifications and formatting. Printing your worksheets, setting your print options and applying page breaks will be in the next lesson. If you will be working with large workbooks you will need to know how to manage worksheets in this format. There are many areas where these applications can be used. They could be useful in a home environment or in the workplace.

Course Duration:

While it seems that there is a lot of information to be learned in the Microsoft Excel programme, most of it is very easy. The online courses only take one day, with plenty of hands on experience. You will be able to spend as much time as needed with each section. If you take this course at a college you will need to follow the time frame of the instructor.
