Microsoft Access

This course is designed with a workplace environment in mind. You will use this application in business where copious amounts of information must be maintained. This is done through the use of related databases. When you learn Microsoft Access you will understand the basic database concept. You will create and use modification techniques in relation to databases and understand how to apply them. If your job description includes designing or creating databases, maintenance of records, and locating those records, you will need this Microsoft Access course.

Course Description:

The first lesson will teach you database concepts, interfacing, using Access databases that are already there and how to get help if it is needed. In the second lesson you will learn how to design a database. Once you have worked through this part you can move on to building the database. This tool includes creating tables, modifying table data and using sub-datasheets. Filtering records, creating queries, adding criteria or calculated field and designing forms come next. The final process in this lesson will be to generate a report and all that it entails. Students need to have a working knowledge of Windows XP before they take this course. If they don’t, this would be a prerequisite.

Course Duration:

The time that is required is one day for this course if you take it through a college or university. If you find an online course you will be able to decide your time frame for learning the information. The appropriate software would be included in the tuition.
